Detroit Equity Inc. (DEI) provides a range of nonprofit and consulting services to Detroit’s corporate community designed to achieve the following goals:
Increase the number of Detroiters and People of Color represented in Detroit’s workforce
Connect Detroit-Based and Minority-Owned businesses to procurement and supplier opportunities
Increase the number of Detroiters and People of Color in the pipeline for executive leadership and board positions
Champion data driven, Detroit specific research and best practices in the field of diversity, equity and inclusion.
Under the leadership of Detroit Equity Inc.’s Founder and CEO Bishop Edgar Vann, DEI will utilize its strong relationships with Detroit’s interfaith community, neighborhood-based organizations, and community leaders to bridge the gap between Detroiters and the greater corporate community. The nonprofit will work to drive awareness of job opportunities, initiatives, research and best practices to increase diversity, equity and inclusion.
Detroit Equity Inc. co-founder prominent attorney Bertram Marks brings a tremendous wealth of of skilled experience in governance and leadership to his role as General Counsel.
In Fall 2022, DEI will host its inaugural symposium exploring areas of inequity in Detroit and proven best practices that can provide a road map for our collective efforts moving forward.
