Dr. Bertram L. Marks, Esq.
General Counsel and Co-Founder

Dr. Bertram Marks Esq. D. Min. has been a practicing trial lawyer for 28 years. His practice includes product liability, medical malpractice, ecclesiastical, corporate law, civil rights, personal injury and white-collar criminal defense. He attended Michigan State University’s James Madison School of Government, earned a political science degree from Wayne State University and a law degree from the University of Detroit. Dr. Marks has also earned a Masters’ Degree in Divinity and a Doctorate Degree in Ministry from the Ecumenical Theological Seminary in Detroit. He serves as Chairman of the Litigation Associates Trial Law Firm.

 

In his capacity as a trial attorney, he has litigated cases throughout the USA. He has practiced in Michigan, Kentucky, Texas, Ohio, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Bertram Marks serves as a senior-level consultant to major organizations, Fortune 1000 corporations, and educational institutions. He provides advice and counsel on issues ranging from social and economic justice to corporate citizenship and civic responsibility. Bertram Marks serves as Chief Legal Officer of the Faith-Based Genetic Research Institute. He is a former President of T.H.A.W. Board of Directors of Michigan and former CEO of the Community Energy Solutions Program which distributed millions of dollars in energy assistance to eligible families across Michigan. Atty. Marks is the former State of Michigan Civil Rights Commissioner, former General Legal Counsel to the Council of Baptist Pastors, and former legal analyst for WMXD-Detroit.
